UberVault

UberVault is an app specifically designed for Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, iPod touches, and Macs with Apple silicon. It securely stores digital copies of personal IDs and important documents in virtual Lockboxes. Notably, the app operates offline, safeguarding data privacy by storing all information locally on the device without relying on internet connectivity. Users have the flexibility to capture documents using the device camera or import images from their photo library. UberVault supports a wide range of document types, including credit cards, driver’s licenses, social security cards, and allows users to create custom categories to organize their documents effectively.

The application can be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store onto the user’s device, which must be running iOS/iPadOS version 16.4 or macOS.

‘UberVault’ is specifically designed to function exclusively on iPhones, iPod touches, iPads, or Mac (designed for iPad) computers equipped with Apple silicon, without the requirement for any network connectivity.

Upon initial launch on a Mac equipped with Apple silicon, a visual prompt appears to the user, indicating the available Touch Alternatives for input, as if the device were an iPad.

The application will then initiate its initialization process by requesting authentication credentials from the device owner.

UberVault is a secure application that digitizes and organizes critical documents, including identification cards and credit cards, within virtual lockboxes. It offers offline functionality, local data storage, and a variety of authentication methods to bolster security.

Users can confidently manage their data, ensuring that their information remains private on the device from which the application is installed through the Apple App Store.

There are no ads, no spying, no nonsense.

Additionally, users have the authority to customize the iOS/iPadOS Privacy settings in accordance with specific application functions.

This app lets you sign up and keep your digital photos safe in your own virtual Lockbox.

You can manage multiple Lockbox items.

The data in UberVault is organized into two categories:

1. My Lockbox:

This folder is just for you, the device owner or the main user who also manages UberVault.

2. Family Lockboxes:

If you have family members, you can create a folder for them here.

The UberVault Lockbox database, accessible within the application, can be exported as a backup file through macOS or via other iOS/iPadOS Files app actions.

The Backup and Restore functions can be accessed from the application’s Preferences view.

For privacy reasons, you must enter your current application password to access these Device Recovery functions.

Please note that the user will be provided with the option to perform an ad-hoc backup prior to making any updates to the UberVault user data.

Backup files are securely encoded using proprietary algorithms to prevent unauthorized access when exported outside the ‘UberVault’ application.

A backup file can only be restored by the user authenticating with the same password and access Security Answer that was in effect when the backup was created.
